Try the following:

1) Maybe the color for the icon for private messages is the same as the background. Try using your cursor to highlight the entire screen and see if the "private message" icon appears when highlighted.

2) If the above doesn't work, (temporarily) remove the picture and see if the icon shows up.

3) Make sure you didn't accidentally turn off private messages in your profile. I doubt that you did, because I can PM you, as the icon is there for me when I display your profile.

4) Something else unique to your setup (or unique to your computer) is blocking the profile script from completing. When I load your profile, I get the same hesitation on "private message" as the other poster described. If it's not loading for you, then something is blocking it from your view, and it's a problem unique to you.

5) Blocking pop-ups requires special software. If you have it, you would have specifically had to load it and turn it on. If you've never done that, then pop-ups probably aren't the problem.
