The bombing did have an effect at the very end. German's industrial output (mostly defense goods) kept rising until 1994 but fell of afterwards. Bombing had a much bigger effect on the logistics which failed to supply the troops on the front sufficiently. It's one things to produce the ammunition and the weapons but it's another to get them to the troops, disrupting supply lines is much easier than destroying the entire industrial base of a country.
