Tim: I haven't been over on this porch in a while... As I was scanning quickly through a few days of posts my name has popped up more often than it should <VBG>... This response I posted to you still stands... Message 18709221 I think one of Dealer's better rules has always been that there should be no personal attacks on other posters...I have never attacked others on SI and don't plan to start. Sometimes we'll have to agree to disagree. I have two close friends fighting over in Iraq right now...And of course I support our troops 100%...Yet, I can still be patriotic and question the wisdom of some of the decisions our leaders make...Here's a group of 1000 highly regarded veterans that wrote a letter to our President a few weeks ago... veteransforcommonsense.org They had many valid concerns about the impact of 'pre-emptively invading Iraq' and I did too. Its an amazing thing but in this country we have the right to ask our leaders tough questions -- sometimes I think Congress doesn't do that often enough...;-) I have no agenda but do at times post articles, editorials and thoughts to stimulate discussion (most recently a lot of my posts have been over on 'the other porch')...Yet, I still have a lot of friends over here...I need to stop over here more. Anyway, things may have been drawn out of proportion in regards to posters and their intentions and motives...we shouldn't let that happen...there are too many great folks out here on SI and we should collaborate, share, debate and learn from each other...Once in a while we may have to agree to disagree with others about certain things...I have only met 4 folks from SI in person (Scott Mantz, uncle frank, TL Comisky, and abstract)...they are all friends and its incredible that we actually met online....Yet, I have a lot of 'virtual friends' out here - and it would be great to meet many of them in person someday.
