Scooter ...

I have been requested to contact you concerning this vital project by several of my Jesuit compadres.....
*(com-padres .. kinda like a play with words, eh?)

at any rate ...
and at this pricing rate *(heh heh . this, too, is kinda similar to a pun, no?)
but, I digress ...
at the rate of fifty cents (one half of a dollar USA funds) per word that you have written on this thread in the past few days you will need to donate $127.25 to Magis ..

the reason for the odd 25cents is that some of your words aren't worthy of a full tarriff ... and were calculated at a lesser rate ....

your immediate attention to this matter will be entered into your permanent record ... *(and it does need some positive items, this permanent record of yours, eh)

Marquette alumni are a key component of the Magis Campaign. Alumni around the world, through their time, efforts and financial contributions, are working together to help Marquette become one of the nation’s truly distinguished universities.

The Magis Campaign not only will provide resources to strengthen the University, but also will help us fulfill our commitment to students so that when they graduate from Marquette, they will have knowledge based on intellectual and spiritual discovery, and dreams based on a desire to enrich the world. With the support of alumni and friends, we have the power to guide the direction of the University and preserve a quality, values-based Marquette for generations to come.

Magis:
The Campaign for Marquette, began in 1998 to support the following goals: scholarship funds, academic program endowments, capital projects, technology & renovation projects, and aesthetic improvements to the general campus.
