If what you say is true, then it seems silly that the French wouldn't have joined forces with the coalition in order to secure their investments. If what you say is true, why are Russian firms selling GPS jammers to Iraq? If you take away the oil in Iraq, you would still have this war. Just as you had a war in Afganistan, long before the Taliban. Geographically, the Russians have no warm water port. This is why we fought them tooth and nail in Afganistan. I still contend that if this were about oil, the French, Russians, and Americans would all be on the same side and we'd be splitting up the oil right now and paying 39 cents a gallon for gas. A LARGE part of this war is about shaping world opinion.
