JW, you were spot on (again) when you compared this war to the stock market. The Hawks issued a strong buy on the war to get us to buy in. Expectations were set high (short war, huge superiority, mass Iraqi troop surrenders, citizens cheering us on, rest of the world will back us once underway, Arab world will be grateful) Mainstream Press (Analysts) concurred. Now that we are in, the expectations are revised downwards by the Hawks and the Press. Do they have a stop loss in place. Not likely. Why can this nation not see beyond its pocketbook? There is no true self awareness, and entropy is eating away at the sham.
