Oh, on the Perle front, you and I shouldn't go there since it's OT for this thread, but I see you are like me, just can't resist. My guess is that Perle resigned as the head of the committee (he's remaining on the committee) because there is more of the same out there. Moreover, I would expect that most members of the committee have the same problem and just wish to help move the spotlight elsewhere. And, before you jump in, I hardly think that's a Rep problem. Dems drink at the trough, too. I would love to see enough transparency so they would all be terrified of that bit of water.
