I understand your point; however, as a commander you can't allow Syrian terrorists behind our lines. When they start shipping supplies and military troops into Iraq they are fare game -- they have in effect declared war. Look for a move in Syria when you expect Baghdad to be over run.

Syria believes it is sacrosanct -- not unlike Chinese supplies flowing from Manchuria during the Korean war -- that strategic blunder by H. S. Truman cost us victory and has lead to the North Korean we see today. I don’t think we will make that mistake again.
