I believe the "age that was ending" ended.

The age that was to come - was the "gospel age"

These ages are in the here and now.

The entrance into heaven is now made by the work of Christ

So I would have to say that there is a "change" in the eternal states as well.

I do however think this is it.

I believe that God expects the Kingdom of Christ
to spread throughout the world like leaven.

I do not expect a time on earth when evil is completely gone.

I am not a J.W. :-)

Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days,
nor an old man that hath not filled his days;
for the child shall die a hundred years old,
and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.

Here Isaiah predicts a time of blessing - but as you can see
death of the body is still spoken of. Isaiah speaks of a restored "long life" but not eternal life.

Actually there is a very good case presented that physical death
was not a part of the curse of sin at all
and actually always "expected" but that subject
is just too ground into people's minds to discuss rationally.
