Mike, We now have a situation unlike the 70's in many ways and sticking to monetary inflation and price inflation we have deflation on the return of paper assets. The mathematics is clear if you increase your costs by X% and income from these assets go to zero one will be bankrupt at some point in time - it is not if it is when. It is my opinion the leaders we have in Washington and Business know what is ahead. They are ripping off the citizens to the maximum extent possible to insure their survival as the wealthy class when the house crumbles.
