Garbage in, oil out! There is an article in the May issue of Discover about a new process of converting virtually waste any organic matter into oil. It only uses 15 BTUs of energy for every 100 BTUs of feedstock. Other attempts at doing this barely broke even on energy. This doesn't seem to be pie in the sky stuff. There are some heavy investors behind it, including Warren Buffett.
