Wind is a profitable way to produce electricity now, and solar is about 2 years from being able to compete with conventional power plants. It is already the most cost effective for houses that are being built any distance from the grid. Power companies are charging $100,000 a mile to run power to remote houses in some areas.

Even more interesting is this new solution of turning any organic waste into oil. This is no pie in the sky dream, but is being backed by the likes of Conagra and Buffett. If all of our organic waste was recycled by this process, it would eliminate our need for imported oil.

Don't expect any support for this concept from coal man Cheney. Environmentalists, Democrats and other commie groups are going to be for it, so the the wrong wing will be against it no matter what. Who cares if it makes sense? We have the most powerful military, and we can get our oil wherever we want.
