Thanks Howie ... many others were saying the same, problem is that only the previously aware were listening ... now the atmosphere south of the 49th is even more emotionally charged, there is even less listening, but the hard fact remains that the billions of us on this world will never accept domination by a few in the back rooms of DC, this PNAC agenda ['Project For A New American Century'] .... it is not human to submit to such concentration of power, and there have to be effects coming from the attempt

Just looking at a map here, it appears less than 250km to Damascus from the northwest corner of that desert tab of Iraq .... Rumsfeld 'issued a dire warning' in that direction yesterday, it would take little effort for them to spin up pretext to turn the tanks west, link up with the israelis, occupy a belt right across the lands of the arabs .... then the persians, presumably, 'real neocons want a march on Tehran', it is said

At some point confidence in armed might alone turns to hubris .... many think that point long past, i tend to agree, i'm glad this g.w.n. did not lend its name to such a unilateral attack, become a 'member' of this faux 'coalition' ... there were far better ways to handle the situation, with a reasonable quorum of democracies involved there was a good chance it could be handled with far less bloodshed and far less ill feeling to follow .... but that doesn't fit the PNAC agenda, under which 'international cooperation' means dominated by the Perles and Wolfowitzes .... canadians fully support efforts against terrorism, we were in Afghanistan [and will be again soon, rotation], we have navy right now leading a squadron guarding the straits of Hormuz [in which squadron there is one french and one german ship, with three or four canuck, btw] .... but we will not be imperial troops of conquest, and our main concern is to promote true international cooperation, which pits us straight against current US admin

Anyway, lest i near the stage of rant -g- .... this from Geoffrey Heard that loantech posted was interesting, eh - #reply-18737782 .... between the cost of war in this style to the US treasury [remember that gulf war one was paid for by other nations, and the cost of this war is far higher], and general ill feeling towards what the currency is coming to represent, there has to come an effect on the USD .... [?] .... since these are added to existing domestic economic problems that are getting ignored in the process, it seems a potent combination that will see the greenback falling against other currencies, one of them being gold

Have you heard anything on Cadre? ... i see Chilcott and Sandner and others took down 15-cent paper, above market, there was a release out yesterday after close .... no word on getting the dot T taken off the csl.t ... pretty scarey lately, Venezuela, but eventually Chávez is toast, and i think the constitucion allows mid-term presidential elections this August, which may have some effect .... cheers
