This report has just come in to the news desk:

Amerikstan 29 March.

Tension is rising here as this nation’s Fundamentalist
leaders take aggressive military action against a rival leader in the middle east. Hardliners talk about bombing the country where he is hiding “back to the stone age”
while moderates in the regime call only for selected nuclear strikes.

People seem to be going along with the regime’s front
man Ayatollah Bushmani even though he is unelected and
took power in a Coup 18 months ago. He has a 99%
approval rating according to the state controlled
media. Whipped up into a nationalist frenzy by state controlled television, crowds pour out into the streets chanting U-S-A, U-S-A whenever he appears.

Although there have been only isolated attacks on foreigners the national mood is not one for compromise. Said one highly placed insider with the regime “If God hadn’t meant us to blow up foreigners and stuff he would never have given us high explosive.”
