Hello energyplay, <<5 ... 1>> Very good, you certainly understand the situation here pretty well, except I would replace (3) with 'No more mania in our life time'.

SARS seems to:
(a) transmitted via fluid droplets
(b) virus stays active for about 3 hours in open air
(c) can get infected via touch elevator button and then rubbing eyes
(d) can be cured but vaccine will not be within 5 years
(e) require wearing masks and gloves, and carrying a bottle of cleaning fluid/spray.

If you remember, I rode on plane from Beijing to Hong Kong on the 27th (Dragon Air 901) and now the news announcement advises all 26th Dragon Air 901 passengers are advised to get checked.

Events are going very quiet in Hong Kong and life may get very relaxing very quickly for very long time. Deflation bringing down real estate, food and service prices, tepid economy and bad economy thinning out crowds and culling businesses, and if I had thought crisis is a partner, volatility is a friend, lonely path is right of way, then I should be maximally excited now, but alas, I remember, there is 'survive, so as to fight another day'.

Chugs, Jay
