If CSCO has zero reported earnings as a result of expensing options, but still generates $400 million per month in operating cash flow, does it really matter? Income statements depend on the accountant's interpretation of things. Balance sheets don't lie. Elroy And on a different note, I live in the Middle East, in the United Arab Emirates. It is a very safe place for Americans. The local Arabs don't like war in Iraq, and they also don't like Saddam Hussein, which is the view held by most of the world's population as far as I can tell. As for how safe or dangerous it is for Americans in Europe, well, the hotels are generally not very high quality, but breakfast is usually included in the room rate, so I guess it's a wash.
