Excellent Show Tonight, The Tim Russert Show with Dana Priest from the Washington Post and General Barry McCaffrey.

A great discussion on what may actually be happening in the war (note: it's all out of sight), the future of war, stability in the region, the transormation of the state department.

Tim Russert runs this show a bit like Charlie Rose. The guests have lots of time to build their case for interesting ideas that can't be explained in a minute.

During a commercial break I switched to CNN where some guy 'Chris something' was saying that the war so far was a complete disaster, short term, medium term and long term. Everyone in Iraq knew this was America colonizes Iraq so nobody in Iraq will help the American forces.

Going back to Russert with Priest and Mccaffery was like that first day in spring when you open all the home windows up to air out the stale and recycled air of winter. Priest and McCaffery were grounded, could knock Bush when there was a mistake made, understand the stakes, and are balanced and informed.

It's on CNBC at 4:00 am and 7:00 pm Sunday.
