I just can't buy into the notion that somehow lazer guided bombs that still maim and kill are somehow "good warfare". Its just hype and spin. The U.S. are the invaders and aggressors. I fail to see any moral reason for the war. They are fighting a people that obviously resent their presence. According to the U.S. "rules of war" anyone not using JDAMs and Tomahawks is "fighting dirty". Somehow its highly moral to shoot from an almost indestructable Abrahms tank using depleated uranium shells to take out irregulars in pick-up trucks. What do these fools like Rumsfeld expect? These people are fighting for their lives with considerably less firepower than the U.S. has. Back when the shoe was on the other foot. When the U.S. was the irregulars and England the superpower the rule of war was to march towards each other and shoot. That Washington deviated from these tactics doesn't make him a "thug". The reality is that the U.S. style of war does cause great destruction to characterize it otherwise is ludicrous.
