An initial plan last year predicted that it would take 47 days for U.S. troops to get within 50 miles of the outskirts of Baghdad...the3 rd Infantry Division got that far in less than a week. Why is this constantly being touted as a good thing? In doing so, we have obviously over-extended our supply line, which has resulted in unnecessary casualties to support personnel.
