What about Bush Sr. doing business with Bin Lauden's father and GW getting the Bin Laudens out of the country on 9-11 without being intrrogated, from Boston of all places? Word is, once Bush was in the FBI was told "hands off" the rich Saudis. Several investigations into terrorist funding were scrapped as a result. During his first 9 nonths Bush didn't mention terrorism once. All he talked about was missiles from "rogue states" like NK to justify funding of the SDI system, which may have no practical use at all, and is no use against terrorist cells. At least Clinton tried to kill Bin Lauden. Several times. But remember, he was hiding in Afghanistan and we had no way to do anything but send in a Cruise missile, not having permission from Pakistan to go at him. However, there was a Pakistani hit team being trained to take out Osama. They never got a chance to act. Clinton should have done more, but so should have Bush. Attacking each is monday morning quarterbacking.
