US administration knows, and most of the public knows that staying there (Iraq) long term will be a disaster.

Hi SCat,

I like to think I have a good imagination
and creative skills.

But..Based on what we have seen
actually take place since 2000,
simple out-of-the-box thinking
seems inadequate for the task.

If you would have told the American Public just two months ago that France and Germany are no longer our Allies, they would have laughed.
And would the Neocons have believed you if you told them on Valentine's day that Perle would be trashed by April?

This is all happening in real time.
There's no float or time delays
for international date zones, weekends,
holidays or Shuttle Disasters.
It's all action, all the time.
It's a rollercoaster which pauses only
for the message control for
the Public and the Press.

By the way what do you think about Perle?
My opinion of these types of things is that the accused is usally not doing anything that his "crowd" isn't doing. Wonder why this was allowed to go forward unchallenged?
Who button-holed him and why? Maybe he is the first casualty of regime change.
