The term "liberal" is out-dated, though some traditional liberals are out there, maybe 10% of the voters. Especially some of the black politicians.

In recent decades old-style liberalism has been replaced by modern more moderate progressivism. Clinton and Gore were not really liberal. Heck, Clinton had Dick Morris running his White House and David Gergan. These were anti-liberals.

The old Civil Rights and and Feminist fights are largely out-dated now. Clinton made sure welfare, affirmative action and so forth were minimized. Just common sense. As we move forward democrats will move farther and farther away from the old ideas, but they will remain strong protecting the common man, our treasury, our international reputation and our environment.
