We exchanged posts earlier about how this war is going. One of the issues I spoke about was the long supply line. Three times in the past two days, reporters have asked soldiers on both FOX and MSNBC if they have enough supplies, and twice they said they did not have enough food with one soldier saying they were getting only one meal per day while another soldier said her unit was short water. All three soldiers said although not serious, it was a problem.

Of course, Rumsfield and Tommy Franks, his hand picked general, both claim there is not a problem. Now who do you expect me to believe, the soldiers who stomachs need to be filled and their thirsts quenched, or Rummy and Franks. [Rummy and Franks sounds like something you would get a ball game]. <g>

And then there is the issue of troop manpower. Rummy is claiming "rolling deployment" which is a load of garbage......"rolling deployment" is a euphemism for "we're short troops and we're trying to get as many of them over there as quickly as possible". In fact, the 24th Marine Expeditionery unit was supposed to be going home after being on 'the road' for 7 months only to have their orders changed 4 days ago. They docked today in Kuwait.

None of this stuff will sink the war effort but things are not going as smoothly as you and Rummy would have us believe.
