Christopher,

As a retired Army veteran with a tour in Nam, I know as much about war as I care to. My point was that somebody in the administration is not leveling with us. They issued all the rations they thought would be needed for a picnic war in Iraq.

They were egregiously wrong. It has already lasted longer than they expected. I suspect it will last, one way or another for the next two generations, unless it goes nuclear before then. We all lost when America invaded Iraq.

Most of all, America lost her virtue. To the rest of the world, she no longer stands for Justice, for Right, for Good. Over 80% of the world thinks Bush is worse than Saddam.
