Didn't you say the Arab media was reporting that sort of thing wasn't happening?

No I did not. I said I have not seen a report that said Iraqi army was firing on civilians on ANY media that I was following, not just Arab, and I have not said that there were reports that "it wasn't happening".

By the way, over the course of this weekend, I did hear news agencies say that there are reports that the civilians were caught in the crossfire while leaving the city (Euronews).

I have a dead uncle who was made to dig a ditch long ago and when he was finished he was asked if he wanted to join the army or be shot. He decided to join.

So you agree that it is not unusual in wartime for the immediate sentence of defection (or even refusing to fight) to be death?
