Perhaps you should research hybrids and drive one yourself. If I don't hot rod my car and drive it 105 mph on the way to work, I can get 50 mpg and more some days.

It does not contain a fuel cell. That tank of gasoline may blow your butt to the moon perhaps. Perhaps you also fear accidental ignition of internally produced methane gas as well? Did u read an article discussing the hazards of same?

I drive a Honda Insight, get wonderful mileage and I enjoy my car very very much, thank you.

What kind of car do you drive, a GTO?
