Shucks And Awww

'Shock and Awe' hasn't quite worked out the way they thought it would, has it?

For good, solid information on why, see Stan Goff's columns at:
www.freedomroad.org/milmatters.html
Stan's a 22-year veteran of Green Berets, Rangers, Delta Force and SOG. He knows of what he speaks. He's also the narrator of my soon to be released documentary series, so this will give you some familiarity with Stan and who he is. My hope is that many of you will help promote and distribute these documentaries yourselves.

The war on Iraq isn't quite going as planned, is it?

How anyone could believe Americans, who've killed up to two million Iraqis in 12 years, would be welcomed with open arms by the Iraqi people is beyond me. Either the soldiers and the people were lied to, or the war planners were Dill from the Osbournes and Johnny Knoxville from Jackass.

The Americans and the Brits have been taking losses daily. Planes and choppers getting shot down, dozens of 'friendly fire' deaths (I've never understood that term. What's so 'friendly' about getting killed by someone who's supposed to have your back?), and suicide attacks against American targets.

Many of you will recall the war games some time ago, where the general who was hired to play the Iraqis kicked Rumsfeld's War Plan's ass, so instead of playing out the scenario, they hit the reset button, and told the general he 'wasn't allowed' to do this, or that, or the other, or anything that may result in the Iraqi force winning the war games.

Well, unfortunately for Donald Rumsfeld and fortunately for the people of the world, Basra and Baghdad don't come with a reset button. And Rumsfeld's getting his ass kicked.

All I can say is, 'awww, shucks.'

Too bad, so sad.

Rummy's already playing CYA (Cover Your Ass). He went on FOX News and blamed it all on Tommy Franks, saying it was Franks plan, when everyone knows it was Rummy's. Let's hope Franks refuses to fall on his sword and instead tells the truth about whose idea this fiasco was. His superior, General Eric Shinseki, warned them this was going to happen. The Bushies response was to call Shinseki's warning, "bullshit from a Clintonite enamoured of using the army for peacekeeping and not winning wars."

One thing about this war that's interesting. It's a lot like Vietnam not only because of what's happening on the ground, but also because there's a whole lot of body bags going home. Remember what the CIA did with those body bags in Vietnam?

THEY SENT HEROIN BACK TO THE STATES INSIDE THE BODIES OF AMERICAN GIs. And the CIA has the biggest opium crop in years, as big as 3750 tonnes, sitting in Afghanistan waiting for delivery to market.

Could this cluster!@#%& in Iraq be deliberate?

When Will It End?

Am G F F

Uncle Sam went to Vietnam and made a footprint in the sand.

He said: I want you - now it's time to go - he put a rifle in your hand.

Eighteen years old and you got sold to a war against you and me.

And UNOCAL went and followed the flag and built a pipeline to the sea.

CHORUS - Am G F Dm+F 3x Am G F F Am G F F 4x

Ten million dead and counting, when will they care about it?

Three billion souls are starving, when will they stop the hoarding?

Ten million mothers mourning, when will they care about it?

Three billion souls are drowning, no blood for oil don't do it for me' Ad lib

From Panama to Bogota, Santiago and Peru

From Suharto's land to the Marcos clan, Uncle Sam had lots to do,

Like a war begun in ninety-one over oil for me and you,

It never ends, and so my friends a million kids have paid our dues.

CHORUS

Saddam Hussein may not have a brain, but could you tell me why it is,

A corrupt Third World is trying to save little girls while the West is killing kids?

Now the Man's in Afghanistan, flying a flag for you and me -

And Union Oil's gonna dig the soil and build a pipeline to the sea

Before your eyes the deception lies take a look at what I mean -

There's no alibi for the government's lies and their story's make believe.

On 9/11 the deed got done cause they looked the other way -

For cold hard cash and a heroin stash up for sale by the CIA.

CHORUS

-Hsing Lee 22/06/02

Whether it is or isn't deliberate, the result is the same.

Needless dead on both sides.

You know what bugs me? The inherent cowardice and stupidity of the media. I watched a Press conference in Kuwait on CSPAN. This black guy in a soldier suit was talking smack about Saddam, and talking about how well things were going.

What pissed me off was that he admitted things had slowed down, but progress was being made. Then, what he pointed to as progress was the fact that the US had captured and secured 600 Oil wells. He really said that. And guess what?

NOT ONE reporter asked him, "Since Bush has said this war isn't about oil, why have you wasted time and manpower capturing 600 oil fields when you can't even take the towns you said would welcome us with open arms?"

This was the same day it was announced that a State Department team went to discuss a cease fire. Rummy backed off the ceasfire, but the fact that all these things happened in proximity to one another tells the tale doesn't it? They were trying to decide whether to keep what they had, cut their losses, and settle for half of Iraq's oil.

Except they cant, because they need ALL four trillion in oil to collateralize tens of trillions in unpayable US debt, so they can borrow more money and stay on top for a few more years.

So what's been accomplished to date?

Thus far, Americans have been killed, LOTS of innocent Iraqi kids have been killed, America and the UK have lost all credibility as honest brokers who respect international law, and the US has now created another nation of suicide bombers.

Before this attack, there WERE no Iraqi suicide bombers. It was a Palestinian thing. The Israelis can't even handle 3 million Palestinians amongst whom there's only a handful of suicide attackers, and here goes Bush and Rumsfeld making suicide bombers out of a nation ten times the size of Palestine.

Good one guys. What do you do for an encore? Hand out box cutters at airports?

Every single suicide attack on Americans from this point forward is not only justified, it's G W Bush's fault. It's justified because this is an illegal war conducted by an illegal administration for illegal reasons. And until they get out of Iraq, I hope there's lots more 'shucks and awww'.

But there's still hope for peace. The artists have finally got off their asses. Lenny Kravitz just recorded a new Peace song with Lebanese and Palestinian musicians, which you can find at www.rockthevote.org

The Beastie Boys have a new song out too, available on their website.

www.beastieboys.com

For those who missed it the first time, Paris has a new album out soon, with the single, 'What Would You Do?' available at his website.

www.guerrillafunk.com

Don't expect to hear any of these songs on the air though. Clear channel has banned all anti-war songs. MTV has a new rule that no song with the words 'war' or 'bomb' will be played on MTV, even though they have an entire program devoted to War on MTV.

Then there's Al-Jazeera. They set up their new English websites, and were hit with 72 hours of nonstop denial of service attacks. They were kicked off the floor at the Stock Exchange. And the government won't lift one finger to stand up for free speech.

Freedom of speech? Yeah boy, just watch what you say.

One happy thing that's occurred is Takoma the Dolphin has gone AWOL. Not even an animal is stupid enough to follow these assholes to war. Takoma bailed several days ago and hasn't been seen since. The Navy was using this poor guy to clear mines. I guess he woke up and realized fascism wasn't good for Dolphins.

Aww, shucks.

Back in a few weeks. Take care, be safe, and NEVER STOP RESISTING.

"I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility toward all forms of tyranny over the mind of man." -- Thomas Jefferson.

Peace
