re:How did you hear about his alleged sacking in the first place?

I heard it this morning on Fox.

So he did get sacked and then FOX retracted his firing. This gets more interesting by the minute.

I like flipping through all the channels, but the cable channels are now reporting every rumor without checking their facts. It's getting a bit annoying to keep hearing things that get knocked down as false a few hours later.

Some of its not their fault.......the Brits INSISTED that the Basra residents were revolting; that two of their men were executed; and that they had captured an Iraqi general, and all three things proved to be false.

mIn the first Gulf War it was OK, that the entire media was used by the Military to fake out the Iraqis, but this oneupsmanship crap has got to stop.

That's like expecting the non cable stations will stop running commercials or that the sun won't come up tomorrow. Think about the character/quality of the people who would get themselves embedded with a military unit in the middle of a war. Do you really think these people are very rational and are prepared to play fair? They are there to make a name for themselves any way they can.

I am still blown away by Arnett's comments......the arrogance of that shithead!
