Of course Saddam Hussein is worse than George Bush. Saddam is a monster and a fiend, Bush is a regular guy doing what he sincerely thinks is best for the country.

Is THIS what you consider a mere "but"?

The question at issue, which you seem uninterested in or unaware of, is whether Bush is right about what is best for the country in the long run. Whether he is correct or tragically wrong about what policies will reduce the numbers of terrorists willing to attack our country and in other ways advance our national interest.


It's a statement of what is actually at issue (it isn't, and I hate to take you by surprise like this, whether Bush is a better human being than the sadistic murdering fiend Saddam).
