Bush's treatment of North Korea may be his biggest diplomatic failure. The right-wingers like to demonize certain dictators (and only certain ones) then stonewall them and rattle sabers at them. This was a mistake in NK's case. It CREATED the problem and lured them out of their box. Too bad we have no credible military option in NK because with Bush in power we may need one. Bush has also alienated China whom we count on to keep NK in check. To undertand Bushies on NK, keep in mind their absolutely obsession with SDI boondoggle. The only way they could rationalize deploying SDI was to makea boogey-man out of NK. So they did. And though NK has no ICBM's, Bushies lied and said they do. Actually to be fair, they have one designed but never used or tested. But no one knows if it would really even reach Hawaii. Also no one can imagine why NK would attack Hawaii unless Bushies scare them so much they go nuts and attack.
