Perhaps not. But, it was under wraps. There were weapons inspectors and cameras there and we did have diplomatic relations with them. I'd say that's a hell of a lot better then what we're facing today with North Korea. I'm a cynic. I think the real reason that President Bush ended relations with N. Korea was to create a new enemy to justify higher levels of defense spending. Why else would he do such a stupid thing? He never did explain why, he just did it.
