Well gee. If it's 99% reflective (a generous estimate), then I can see that not much heat would be absorbed. Only problem is that it can't project images of anything except the lightbulb. How does their product differ from a mirror? Where does the light that isn't wanted go? How much power is absorbed when displaying a solid black image?

Perhaps they have a scheme somewhat like the TI moving mirror system that sends the unwanted light into some other direction or polarization so that it can be dumped or filtered elsewhere in the beam path. The beam dump is not noted in the drawings on their website.

I believe the Hughes and JVC projectors that Irwin mentioned have hundreds of times larger areas, and are vigorously cooled when used with large screens and bright lamps.
