Brokaw , the way he reported the Peter Arnett firing, just by how he opened with "Peter Arnett, the Putlizer Prize winning correspondent was fired today by NBC------ he apologized for his not being aware how explosive this informal interview would be"(not verbatim) i got the feeling he was not particularly happy with this event and especially when they went to a segment asking what is Patriotism and noting that NBC was overwhelmed with a flood negative mail from Pro-War(conservative) watch groups and how liberal watch groups are getting stronger and the country is getting more polarized, and leaving the question hanging, who are the patriots? Peter Arnett did not apologize for what he said but for saying it in a impromptu but captured interview that got exploited by the Iraqi media, saying that was a misjudgment.Max P.S. here for market related aspect of this:) This country polarized will hurt the market---unpopular wars do not sell stock, just look at our market 1966 through 1974)
