Hello Elmat, OT: I had managed to book and then quickly cancelled my vacation plans on Ko Samui for Easter vacation.
I just could not see the upside of a frivolous trip at this juncture, especially since I have at home all the modern communication conveniences, a Jacuzzi, a steam shower, am within a 5-minutes walk to a perfectly good and almost private beach, and a 15-minutes walk to the Stanley Village restaurants.
I will arrange to have acu-pressure massage done at home, and I will buy a new novel for the 5 days, and so all will feel like a vacation. Oops, almost forgot, must also rent enough movies.
Truth be told, we in HK by all logic are in serious trouble now, and only waiting for a natural disaster to complete the atmosphere of doom.
However, the kids in the neighborhood seem to be enjoying enormously their long school break, swimming, beach partying, generally hanging out and having a fun time.
Since I am a kid at heart, I too am having a good time, still, although every so often, like once every 10 minutes, I feel a phantom scratch in my throat.
