jpg, I posted a PM to someone asking that earlier this evening.
Below is the PM I sent with my view:
<< I've owned MO for years and years. One of my "turtles" in the long term account that I dollar cost average.
It gets beat up by the news, yes, but look how it rebounds.
Heck, the dividend is superior and it has an excellent record of maintaining that div.
I bought several thousand shares today a bit below 29.00. That's how much I believe it will be ok. If it stays below 30.00 tomorrow, I'll look seriously at adding some more.
Now I am looking longer term mainly on this position, although I might flip the portion bought today. I like the MO div, like to sell cc's on the underlying, and sell puts on it, too. Trading wise, I think it would be a good chance to bump up for a few points short term as it rebounds off that bad news.
Longer term, look at the weekly chart, specifically the sto and MACD, and see how it has rebounded from these points where it is now.>>
I guess today was a new 52 week low. Yep, nasty, Cactus.
I'm not trying to time it perfectly for a trade, per se. Just think it's reasonable in here for longer term. If it rebounds a few points, I might scalp it on that portion bought today. That's not my plan right now but it would not surprise me to see it rebound a few pionts. It often does off bad news.
