So once again we are back to relativism: US let them on a longer leash so long as "socialism" did not mean what it meant elsewhere and compared to poor countries that could do little to resist, US did not plan a coup d'eta in Europe, even though US did continue to meddle in internal affairs of other democratic countries. Am I hearing you right? In other words, it is not democracy that we are after. It is democracy that votes our way which we'll support otherwise dictatorship is what US prefers.
