Reminds me my mother's mother was a Canadian, although I have never been there. So my mental picture of Canada is from ancient times. The mighty Canadian Pacific Railway, rolling wheat fields, wild animals,mountains and snow.
All to be mighty proud of so I hope you have a system where Provinces are represented well in government as States are here. City folks with limited vision can make a mess of things by passing laws that can stop
progress or prevent the best use of resources in outlying areas. They also are more inclined to be jealous of the so-called advantages that the US has, rather than concentrating on the advantages they have ( no need to live in Los Angeles for example) and building showcases or mighty industries Canada is capable of, like your water power and electric systems, parks, resorts,and many more not yet contemplated
