Mars, to TBN, Jim Bakker and those who use Christianity for personal gain and luxury
well i would think you would be just a "little" upset about these folks preaching the "Lords" gospel , and living so high in the saddles ...
In India or in Buddhist countries this kind of materialsim would be cause for the greatest scandal to see anyone professing such "spirituality" and living like that . It's almost unthinkable and inconcievable that you would ever even find it happening without immediate expsosure. They would not tolerate it for a day , let alone for years and years . Spiritual leaders in India live the most austere and exemplary lives I have yet seen on this earth, in the greatest of numbers .
So why does it happen in Christianity as frequently as there are infomercials ? And they get away with it time after time ?
Quite a "hook" this promise of heaven and eternal life huh ? And if you just follow God's law as we interpret it , and send money cattle goats and sheep , we will prepare a way for you ! For it is all written in the book . <G>
yes welcome not to Babylon , but to the temple of Israel 2000 yrs ago...in Jesus own time. Better to pray 5 times a day and face towards Mecca , than this charlatanism.
Not hard to understand Jesus in that light , and you cannot just sit there idle. That is why Jesus is just OK with me ! For the most part ....
