On the evidence that most of us prefer to see 100 dead Iraqis than a US marine. And it makes no difference to this argument if those Iraqis are civilian or not. Comes to think of it, we'd sooner nuke Libya into oblivion than lose 100,000 Italians. So no we do not consider them to be as human by a large margin.
