You keep this insistance on thinking that one person thinks other people are less human or not human because the person prefers the safety of his own tribe of the safety of a foreign tribe. I don't know why you have this kick. I don't think the neighbor's dog is less a dog than my dog just because, given the choice, I would rather a drunk driver kills his dog than my dog. It is natural to prefer what is yours. That has nothing to do with viewing the other as less a dog, or less human, or whatever. You really need to undertstand that.
