OT~ So hard to generalize, isn't it? I live in the Pacific NW...Seattle (home of both Jennifer Dunn and Patty Murray..)is considerably different than most ANY place in Oregon, and different from SFO, and LA....And both SFO and LA are unlike most any place on the planet as well.

Personally, I would view Montreal like France. Closed, and think unreasonably, and inaccurately, highly of themselves. Toronto is active and vital, and cosmopolitan... Vancouver is active, young, rough, and beautiful. Victoria is charming, older, and quite civilized.

Final note, as very rough sketch, east coast Canada is more like West coast US than not. And West coast Canada is somewhere in the middle of the Pacific :)
