A permanent plan for peace calls for diplomacy to be used, backed by an ACTUAL THREAT OF FORCE. Diplomacy did not work. You and I have discussed this numerous times: if you had let Saddam escape the diplomatic process all future conflicts would have been met with "What are you going to do about it? I know that anti-war activists will let me do as I please."
