i went to the trouble of calling a (fairly) local Franciscan outpost because i genuinely don't know. i explained to them your contention that the church of nativity was in fact run by the PLO, and they said in no uncertain terms that you were full of sh-t. they didn't use that word, they were unfailingly polite, but that was the essence of their reaction.
