Darleen > Number one i don't believe in war. I believe in communication.
War is not a joke and neither is this one. It is clear that certain people in the US are desperate and regard war as the only solution to their problems. Further, if one cannot determine who they are then one will not understand what is going on.

>Have you any say to what goes on in SA or are you an innocent bystander?
No say, even though I'm just a bystander with a big mouth.

>If your son was drafted into a war you felt was wrong what do you do and many of the kids parents aren't to sure what the heck to do either.
We had conscription here with annual call-ups for 30 years. It was the most awful business. Of course, many liked it but many others did whatever they could to avoid it. Many families emigrated. I was lucky --- being a med student when I was 21 in the 1950s I could duck out. Later, the med students were also taken. The conscription thing was even going on when my son's turn came. He wisely preferred to go to Singapore with some friends and open a business rather than to Angola to fight Cubans and Soviets etc for the apartheid regime.

>Was Bush wrong in my opinion yes he could of been the best President this Nation has ever had.

I know it sounds crap but, in my opinion, the US was hijacked by a clique who had been working towards a takeover of the administration for a long time. In my opinion as an outsider, the US, today, is no longer the country it once was, in fact, it is becoming more and more fascist and less and less democratic. I see events as having overtaken GWB. Whatever he may have had in mind is now secondary to the exigencies of the new crisis. Today, he's just a stooge. In fact, I don't even think they tell him much about what's going on. Someone writes a speech and he's told to read it. And, when he walks around with Laura he has to hold her hand and smile. If you want to see where the power in the White House lies, take a look at the smug General Ari Fleischer when he gives his press interviews.

>Very many people I speak to in business feel this was the biggest blunder that could of been made as he could of changed the economic course of the nation. The war unfortunately has created a bloody disaster for the economic direction of the nation.

I absolutely agree with you. However, I also say that all along there was an agenda in the background that the public did not know about. In retrospect, and considering the whole scheme and what has taken place, it is perfectly clear that 911 was orchestrated as Act 1 in the implementation of this agenda. Afghanistan was Act 2. The Iraq conquest is Act 3. It looks like the breakup of the UN is Act 4. Clearly, all this is leading to a whole new world order where the US intends to prevail by force and not by mutual consent. There will also be tremendous stresses, possibly social unrest, within the US, itself. In fact, there will be new alignments within the world --- those who are pro the US and Israel and those who are against. The UK, as usual, is trying to outsmart everyone, will attempt to sit on the fence and will try to prevail in both camps.

It is clear that the principal parties to the above-mentioned covert agenda are the pro-Israel lobby and Big Oil. Of course, 911, the first stroke in the game, was very cleverly done and the US was made to appear that it was the victim of "terrorist" attacks so as to obtain forced public approval for what was to follow. Public approval was essential because Joe Soap and his son have to provide the money and the cannon-fodder for whatever was and still is required.

> Unity Searle lied in the hands of Blix and the UN.
That's old history now. Blix has gone. The UN is kaput. Finished. As you see, the UN hasn't even bothered to try and pass a resolution to condemn the US/UK for the illegal war which is in violation of its very own Charter and to which both the US and UK are founder members.

> Blaire is the biggest hypocrite in my view. He to me tails the pack does not lead the whole.
Don't think "they" didn't get to him. I am sure he is also doing what he is told and under coercion. Remember how his wife's phone calls were being recorded. I say this because the UK Labor Party is supposed to be on the left and socialist, not in the pocket of the US ultra-right. Something doesn't add up. Anyone can be blackmailed, intimidated, coerced or bribed. Everyone has their price --- especially politicians. Do you really think that what happened to Clinton with Monica was an "accident" --- the result of a "chance" meeting? A love affair?! Seems to me that "they" got to Spanish PM Aznar also --- possibly for some homosexual stuff (just looking at him!).

>To me on the political front we have absolutely taken the wrong course.
Without any doubt. Since the US is not acting in its own self-interest there has to be a reason why it is doing what it's doing, especially against such widespread public opinion. That's why I say the US administration has been hijacked. Nothing else makes sense.

>It is a tragedy for the US as under a Bush without war thought process we could of created the most respected financial center in the world.

Wouldn't have been so easy. The US is in serious financial trouble, with or without the war. Something would have had to pop sometime, in fact, it still does. The country is living far beyond its means and the nation is swimming in unpayable debt. I know things are not easy for the average American but the national "balance sheet" tells one that things can only get a lot worse, even with the stolen Iraqi oil. Sorry.

>I do not blame the people in Iraq at all they are in the same mess our troops are in.
What have the Iraqis done? They are unfortunate victims who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They are in shit, pure and simple. In my opinion, the US/UK troops have been brainwashed to believe they are heroes, just like in the movies. Each one is a Sylvester Stallone. Who knows, they may even be giving them drugs in their rations to mess their minds up.

>The US net works are having difficulty maintaining ratings and getting sponsors, that statement is totally self explanatory.
As you sow, so shall you reap!
