Yes...I know just what you mean. We are blessed by birth and circumstance to walk around the constant tragedy that defines most of the world...even apart from the cruelty of war. But our immunity only extends so far. No decent human being can simply ignore the terrible injustice of innocent lives being destroyed.

You are in good company: Sophocles, Euripides, and Aeschylus all recognized the tragedy of the human condition many years ago. We must recognize it also...but smile through it and live as well as we may.
