Get rid of the sanctions, and Iraqi society can reconstitute itself.

In a dream world. Ending sanctions while Saddam was in power would have allowed him more money to spend on munitions and made him stronger. Course since he's an enemy of the US you would want that.

America is determining the fate of the Iraqis by direct application of brutal military force, and you call that "giving them a chance to determine their own fate"?

Of course. We're liberating them from a cruel dictator. You know this. That's what worries you.
