When the news involve life losses, the twist starts: Black Hawk helicopter carrying 11 troopers shot down. 7 reported killed. Final casualties not yet ascertained. The comes the spin shown on my previous posting. "...conflicting reports between the Pentagon and US Central Command on the number aboard and the number dead..." Someone is filtering the number of casualties. That because up to yesterday, the casualties were at 53. 11 dead would be a fifth of the whole toll for two weeks. That's a high body count, which can show that the death toll can escalate on par with the war escalation. US helicopter shot down in Iraq, death toll uncertain (03/04/2003) WASHINGTON (AFP) A US Army Blackhawk helicopter was shot down in Iraq, but there were conflicting reports between the Pentagon and US Central Command on the number aboard and the number dead. A Defense Department official said, "There were 11 on board. Preliminary reports say seven were killed."
