The oil belongs to the Iraqi people, so naturally it needs to be used to reconstruct Iraq.

Who should administer this? I think Bush suggested the UN and Chirac said France would veto it.

As for "why" the war, several reasons - WMD, terrorism, stabilize the region, save the Iraqi people who are being mistreated. Yes, the US is dependent on Middle Eastern oil, and so is Europe, China, Japan, and others.

Maybe Brazil is not, so you don't care, but if the global economy, which needs oil, collapses, the suffering will be worldwide.

We can't sneeze without giving each other colds. SARS is a real life example of that.
