To see issues with one-sided clarity must be a blessing. Even if reality doesn't comply. IMO, there are several culprits involved in this mess. Saddam, for his crimes against humanity and his not complying with 1441, the UN for not enforcing crimes against humanity nor 1441, and Bush for plodding ahead unnecessarily. In the immediate background is 9/11, which correctly did lead to some paranoia. When 9/11 happened, IMO, the rest was predictable. Tragically, it was not predicted by bin Laden. fred
