Why would you want to "disbelieve" something before examining the data, unless, of course, your mind is already made up
Not really. I did look at the "data" (i.e. the books of major religions) and frankly, did not see anything remotely resembling hard data, historical realities proving the allegations of supernatural powers and/or divinity of Christ, etc.
For your info, my mind is still not "made up", since it works scientifically and not on "faith", and hence evaluates each new data and evidence as it comes and can be convinced if sufficient evidence exists.
That, incidentally, is why I am asking you for the "historical realities" and "data" you claim exists.
You seem to want to approach the documents and data with bias and disbelief?
Not at all.
I approach all new theories with scientific scepticism. Especially those with fantastic claims such as virgin birth and a man being the literal son of God.
Excuse me if I need evidence to believe stories of such unusual ingredients.
Again, please present the :historical realities", the "data", etc. I will read them critically but with no bias or predetermined position. |
